Another Newbie - Orchid Board

Hello everyone, I'm Tess, I live in Maryland and I have been growing orchids off and on for about 20 years.
For 18 of those 20 years I've grown mostly Phals and Mini Catts under lights. 2 years ago I received a small greenhouse for christmas...which I added an addition to this summer. (They fill up quickly) My greenhouse mostly contains species Catts and floofy Catts. With a Phaius, Cymbidium and a few other misc. plants thrown in to mix things up a bit. I very much look forward to learning new things here and hopefully make a few new orchid friends.

Welcome aboard Tess...thats what I should put on my xmas list this year. But since the wife uses my bank card I might as well just get it myself; from Santa of course. Hope to see some pics of your chids

I love Phals! I am currently in my Phalaenopsis phase of orchid growing. I didn't know that phase could last 18 years!

I think we have the best board around with alot of knowledgable people. Can I have a greenhouse too? LOL My wife has said that I can't!!!

It is just like banging my head again the wall to change her mind

Welcome! I am really impressed at the number of new board members in the last few weeks. Great news. I, too, would encourage you to share your setup, your growing experiences and your general knowledge with all of us.

Hi Tess.
To put photos in your gallery, just click on Gallery in the left column, on the next page, you'll see a small link saying My Photos, click on that. You will then Browse for the photo, Upload it and Submit.

To put photos directly into a post:
use these links, first to resize to a smaller image (it'll open full sized) and then to put a thumbnail in to the post:
