Smile Hello everyone !!!

Hello everyone;

I'm relatively new to the orchid world but not to the online forums nad I know that here I'll be able to acquire much knowledge. I started my collection about 5 months ago and I'm up to 60 + plants; and looking forward to get some more. I've got everything from Cattleyas to Phalaenopsis to Vandas and Encyclias. I'm happy to say that my plants love this weather since they seem to be growing like weeds. I'm happy to be part of this forum and I'm here to share knowledge with all of you.

Thank you all for your welcoming messages. Well I've got 16 more on their way, 4 more Vandas and 12 Cattleyas. I'm really hooked on to them.

Here are the links to help you post photos on the OB
You can refer back to these as they are Stickies and permanently on page one of the Beginner's Discussion Forum-
The first thing you must do is resize your photos -
There is a simple application in this thread -
Resizing Images...originally posted 6/13/06 by Marty
Once installed - it will appear in drop down menu of your photo when you click on the right mouse - the Option is called - Resize Pictures - see attachment
These other links will continue your instructions on photo and gallery posting -

Welcome Roly,
Way to go!!! Jump right in Nothing is greater than more orchids There are some great species that love this area along with vandas etc. Need some ideas? Check out my gallery for a few names. Most of my guys grow inside a screened pool area but living in S Fl gives us a lot of options as to where we can grow them. Hope to see your pics soon.

We have some great growers in the area and you are even closer to them than me.

All the pictures I upload have been resized from 1.xxmb to between 125 - 200 kb before I post them here. That seems to work the best for me. That way I can email them to my friends & family on a regular basis and they are already to go. They like to see "What's blooming".
