Banda or Vanda?
Thank you for your quick replies!
I am now not sure if it is Banda or Vanda....the young lady who sold it to me at the Orchid Barn sounded like she said Banda and I repeated it back to her.
I also checked that website you posted the link to, but without seeing the leaves, I cannot be sure. It is very much an epiphyte....no soil or matter at all. The plant has leaves that grow in the same direction all the way up, so it looks like V's that are stacked on each other. The roots are about 2 feet long. I'm going to see if I can snap a picture.
Please let me know if any of this rings a bell. Thank You!

The orchid that you have seems to be in fact from the Vanda family. They love to be in baskets and the roots can be quite long and numerous

Now in the Vanda Alliance there are many varieties from Ascosentrum to Vanda to Mokara. Did the lady tell you anything else regarding the plant ??

Banda Orchid
Oh goodie......now I'm wondering even more so how to take care of it!
They told me to spray it every day and I would just like to confirm that......not finding anything about it and then reading that the Vanda hates to be sprayed got me concerned.
I can't seem to add a picture here, so let me see if I can do it on my profile.
Care info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again!

If you go to the first link that I posted on the previous message that says AOS l Vanda you will find all the info that you need. Mine's like to be watered twice a day and they roots are growing like weeds.
