New from Sweden!

Hi everyone!

I'm Saiva and live on the Swedish east coast. I've been growing orchids for about a year. I've probably inherited my obsession(yes, an proud of it! ) from my father that has been growing orchids for a couple of more years than me.

I particularly like the cold growing ones (Dendrobium(cold), Coelogyne etc.) since I can put them outside during the summer. They are the ones that can handle the cool, Swedish summer nights.

Don't get me wrong, I love the warm growing ones too.

Well, that's me.

Thank you gmdiaz! I guess I do, there is not many people here that grow orchids really. I only know a handfull. Further down in southern Sweden there is a lot more interest though!

I'm not sure if 5a is my "Zone" since you have 4a in Colorado... Hmm.. I'll have to check that. *hehe*
