Hello from kentucky here are the orchids I grow Male
Default Hello from kentucky here are the orchids I grow

Hi everyone! I grow the following in my appartment on a grow cart:
Paphiopedilum delenatti
Paphiopedilum venustum
Paphiopedilum charlesworthii
Masdevallia meijiana
Masdevallia foetens
Masdevallia stobillii
Masdevallia triangularis
Mormolyca ringens
Dendrobium lodggesi
Dendrobium bellatulum
Dendrobium unicum
Bulbophyllum deari
Cirrohpetalum flavobellensis (formely C. lepidum)
Cattleya luteola
Laelia pumila
Angraecum diderii
Mysticidium capense
Even though the weather is over 90 F and muggy, I myself do not like warm temperatures too well so I keep the air condition on and low (my thermometer in my kitchen says about 70 F- and thats a little warm for me! ) Anyhow I love Masdevallias, Paphiopedilums, and Dendrobium particularly (but I must say I love all the orchids I have now! )
Well nice to meet everyone!

Welcome to the board. I haven't been a member long myself, although the board has been my guide for a while. That's a diverse grow list, well done. What kind of lights are you using and how do you handle humidity? Always curious on what works. Best site going with the most helpful members around.

Hi! I'm new here too. Quite a diverse list of Orchids you're growing! I'm just getting to know some of the easier growing varieties before diving into some of the "fussier" ones.

Hi Cowboys East,
I use 48 inch 40 watt Wide Spectrum lights on my plant stand. there are two ligting units above and below each holding 2 lights. As for humidity I am still experimenting, but I often add a few cm of water in the trays that hold the plants. Of course I never allow the plants to sit in this: I put drainage dishes below them or set them on top of pots.
Hope this helps
Charles
