I am new too

not only confused about the forums....but I am learning, but also confused about orchids. I have always been interested in them. I have quite the green thumb and am building a greenhouse to start growing exotic plants. I just need to learn about orchids more. I was able to purchase 5 plants from an orchid dealer going out of business for $35 for all of them. I will be visiting her soon for tips, thank goodness. Ran across this page and had to join. 1 uick question though, she told me to put rubbing alcohol on all the leaves, why!!?? Thanks and I look forward to meeting you all and learning!!
