Hi to Everyone, My name's Chris and I live in Brixham, Devon, England. I have four orchids at present, two phalaenopsis, one jewel orchid and one maxillaria tenuifolia 'red'. I'm now off to check out the site.

Hi, welcome to the group. You will find that everyone here is very friendly and oh so helpful. You can tap into a wealth of their experience. Though I reply on occasion, I am usually happy to just 'listen' and learn. This board is terrific.

Why strange? I must admit that I went to a local orchid centre and just bought what took my eye. Do people usually buy set combinations? Are there any sort of rules that determine what kind of orchids should appear together?
