Default Greetings from Florida

Hello forum. Greetings from Florida.

I'm sort of a beginner with orchids. I took over the care of a phalaeonopsis over a year ago, maybe closer to two years ago. It was in poor shape, two small leaves, rotting roots. I trimmed away the dark, soft roots and potted in a terracotta pot with new potting mix. After a while it started a new leaf and now it has multiple larger leaves and is growing a flower spike. I would say my most important realization was regarding feeding. I had been using some orchid fertilizer I purchased on Amazon. Recently I switched to an MSU brand.

Pleased with myself, I purchased another orchid the other day. Researching information of different potting solutions led me to this forum.

I'll post a couple questions over in Beginner Disussions.
