Default Hello all

Hello,

Longtime lurker first time logging into the forum.

I am a traveling healthcare technician with a love for hardy miniatures and leafless vanilla.

When I'm not in scrubs I love either wearing my orchids as accessories or just staring deeply at their textured leaves.

I ended up finding this site and got addicted to growing plants from flask so I am hoping to get some more suggestions for my Jewelrybox sized micro-mini collection.

With great orchids comes great possibilities

Please, pleasepleaseplease, upload some photos of your jewelry-sized collection. I’m imagining a tiny orchid, inside some equally tiny glass terrariums, hanging from each ear. I need to see it! (No rush)

Welcome!

Thanks guys( ◜‿◝ )♡

I haven't fully figured out how to reply yet. But I am going to try to add a picture of my lapel pin with schonorchis pitamii and a fragrans here.

Here is also a picture of the vanilla plant from goorchids that looks similar. Mine has never bloomed so i don't know yet.

That is a fantastic idea (✷‿✷) The closest thing ive got is a set of cork bottle danglies. No plants yet though.

Any idea of micro varieties to mount that like full-ish sun?

Hi Ray. All I know is a guy was selling cuttings when I visited Florida and when I saw a picture of the flowers it had to be mine. (Mine gas not flowered... yet...( ̄ω ̄)

I will take a picture when its brighter of mine tomorrow. It grows like a speedy stickplant but cuter. The new growth reminds me of light green plastic flowers and it changes to a green licorice color as it gets older.

A number of Old World Vanilla species are leafless. Stems, roots, inflorescences only.

When I first started growing orchids, I read that someone would wear a mounted fragrans to shows and thought that was pretty neat. Yours is really worth wearing!
