Hi!
Hi Everyone!
I'm John, and live in the Atlanta area. I started growing orchids back in the late 1970s and at one time amassed a really nice collection of plants. However, moves and divorces laid waste to my participation in the hobby, and so for about the last 8 years or so I've been pretty much away from it (with the exception of a few plants). Well, the fever is back.
My particular area of interest is in the Phalaenopsis and Paraphalaenopsis species, though I also have a few Phal. hybrids as well.
By the way, if anyone knows where I can obtain Paraphalaenopsis denevei I would greatly appreciate the tip!
I look forward to getting to know folks here.

John
Glad to have you on 'board'
You might try Dowery Orchids - they do carry Paraphalaenopsis labukensis but they may have a denevei hanging around Give them call or email THE DOWERY ORCHID NURSERY
Oak Hill carries serpentilingua and labukensis - Oak Hill Gardens
You might want to try and contact them, also.
There is one on eBay but I am unfamilar with this seller and they are located in Hong Kong - that means paperwork and extra charges - I would question this seller extensively (make sure it is CITIES approved for export) if you are interested - Paraphaenopsis denevei Species Rare Blooming Plant - eBay (item 280224368136 end time May-12-08 08:08:14 PDT)
I hope this helps

Welcome, and welcome back! This place will really help you bulk up your collection. We are bad influences!

Thanks, Dorothy! I've contacted all three sources, and will wait to see what comes of it. I sincerely appreciate your help.
And Royal, bad influences have nothing on me. I am the worst!

You are very welcome, John
Perhaps someone else can provide you with information other than what I found.
Again, and keep us posted

Believe me, Dorothy, if I successfully obtain this plant I'll be launching flares and taking out ads in newspapers! Thanks again for your tips.
