Hi from Australia Female
Talking Hi from Australia

Hello, I started a few years ago with just the supermarket orchids Phals mostly. I just moved house and lost most of the phals in storage so starting again. This time I have a shade house installed so look out! I have just joined a friendly local orchid society and learning so much. A bit of info overload but I am sure in time I will get some of it right.
I read just recently that orchid keeping is good for coping with PTSD and depression so now I can argue to hubby that hey, my orchid purchases are good for my health!

Welcome to the OB. And I agree that caring for orchids is beneficial to our mental health -- well, most of the time, that is.

Welcome Brenda. There are a few of us Australians here - not many active ones - maybe just 3 or 4. Nonetheless you must be in just about the best climate for growing orchids in Australia so I wish you every success.
Cheers
Arron

Welcome aboard mate!
Joining that local society was the best start you could make.

Welcome Brenda.

You’re absolutely correct that orchid growing is good for your health. It is not, however, good for your pocketbook!
