Hello, Everyone!
I've been growing orchids for many years now and using the Orchid Board as a useful resource along the way. Now that I've finally retired from teaching, I can devote all of my time to my garden and to getting the most out of my membership here.
I grow my orchids outdoors year-round here in South Florida. In the beginning, my collection was primarily made up of cattleya species/hybrids, dendrobiums and oncidiums. Over the years I've expanded my collection to include catasetinae, phalaenopsis (species), cymbidium, vandaceous, grammatophyllum and crytopodium varieties.
My orchid garden is a continual work in progress. So, I plan to gain valuable best practices from the experts here and to share my successes, failures and ideas for improvement with all of you.
