Hi guys, I'm Rosefiend.

I've been a lifelong fan of orchids and when I was a kid I used to roam the woods looking for them. We have Showy Orchis in spring. I found a putty root orchid leaf one time but never could find it in bloom.

Here's info about the putty root orchid -- I need to go out and look for it in the woods again. Adam and Eve Orchid | Missouri Department of Conservation

Starting about 15 years ago, I snapped up a bunch of Phalaenopsis orchids when they were on sale (under $10) and folks were impressed when they bloomed at work lol. Now thanks to the magic of the internet, I have a little group of more challenging orchids, and I'm getting ready to make a habitat for them in an old discarded aquarium. It's going to be crazy!

I'm looking forward to learning from all of you, and am happy to be here.
