Welcome Utah,
Have a daughter that lives in SLC. Don't forget you get up your humidity by doing simple things like using a clay spill tray, you know the kind you put under pots, fill with some small pebbles fill the tray with water and set your pot on the pebbles to keep the chid out of direct water.
I have also taken that plastic grids you can buy at home depot or lowes that is used in light bays, set my pots on it and then surround them with sphagnum moss that I keep damp to increase humidity which give it a little bit of the forest look.
Just some Ideas, I find that have the fun is just experimenting.
Best of luck and welcome aboard.

Welcome Bryan. After the last show @ the Red Butte, Ive been thinking about joining the society. Good to see another local joined the board.
Thanks! There are some really great people in the UOS, and they bring in some interesting speakers. Make sure you make the July meeting -- summer barbecue and orchid auction. There were some nice plants at the last auction that sold pretty cheaply. I saw a decent Max. tenuifolia go for about $10, and a lot of other plants sold in the $2 to $5 range.
