A reason that Paphs and Phrags tend to cost more... they don't lend themselves to cloning. (I am not sure that anybody has been successful with that, though there are claims) So any plants are either seed-grown (so there is variation just as children in a family with the same parents look different) or divisions (very expensive). And on top of that, they (especially Paphs) tend to grow slowly. Other types can be cloned and therefore produced in much larger numbers, which keeps the prices lower and the results more consistent when you are expecting a particular "look".

Oooohh I actually didn’t know that! That makes a lot of sense then.
