Hello from NYC! I'm new around here.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm in Manhattan (I see there are some other New Yorkers here, too!) and have a collection of plants in my little apartment, with sunny windowsills as well as some shelves with LEDs. The collection has grown to 150+ houseplants, which includes about 25 orchids. The biggest group of these are smaller cattleya type hybrids under LEDs. Orchids are the ones I'm most interested in when it comes to discussion and in-depth learning, because I just think they're so neat and varied. I'm happy to be able to chat with other orchid folks.

However, you found the best place for great orchid advice. These seasoned growers "know their orchid stuff"! They have saved my collection several times!

We used to have a very active member from Manhattan here, he grew an amazing diversity of orchids in his apartment and on his fire escape. His name was Bud, in case you want to check out some of his posts.
