Hello from the gorge
I live in Oregon, I got into orchids at the beginning of 2020. I dont really have time for it, but I am completely obsessed with it. My 17 son recently wanted his own orchids, so I purchased him some for Christmas. I guess it rubbed off on him. I think I have about 70 orchids now and counting. I never realized what an addition it is. I am so new to it all, that I am still waiting for alot of my orchids to bloom for the 1st time. except for the phals, they bloom like clockwork, lol . Now I just need a greenhouse, if anyone has suggestions for one that is good year round, we get snow here. Anyway, looking forward to using the forum to learn more. Thanks

Welcome!! I am new as well. There is a lot of terrific information to be had on this forum, and I have found everybody to be helpful. I hope you chime in and give us some photos of your collection, blooming or not. I always find it interesting to see what other folks are growing.

Welcome! I'm in Portland I keep mine in the basement. My outside plants go under lights in the garage during the winter, but you probably are at a higher elevation than me.

hiya- good to have you!
as far as greenhouses go, i assume you need a steep angle and need to maximize the sun exposure.
what are the tree's like in your yard? do you have any area adjacent to the house that get sun? An A frame or lean to against the house will shed snow the best but i am afraid that is the extent of the help i can offer.
My only other suggestion for making outdoor growing easier is Florida lol
