Just took a peek at your photos. Your not going to believe this .....but I am now going to try growing a few Masdies.
Your Masd Macchu Pichu 'JV' is one that I would like to buy. Do you have any for sale?
I know it may be too hot here but the show I went to today one display had a few in it. I guess their must be warmer growing ones.

Thanks guys.
The Reggae 'stripped' is super!!!! I am very happy with it, it is a division of a plant that won reserve champion a couple of years ago in a show.
The Veitchiana does grow quite warm, I had it in a glass house that got over 100F at times and it seemed to cope fine.
The Macchu Pichu "JV" is a cooler growing plant, I wouldn't expect it to do well hot and I bring it inside on warmer days to keep it out of the warm Aussie summer winds. To see that flower first hand, it is more a purple velvet than the colour you see here as the camera couldn't do it justice. It looks much better in person and hopefully when it flowers again I will do a better job with my new camera.
Thanks again for all the kind welcomes and look forward to lots of fun here in the future.
;-)

I should qualify that. Whilst I did grow it warm I can't guarantee you will have the same success.
I must admit the glass house although hot inside did stop the warm breeze from hurting the plant too much, I kept humidity and air movement up as well.
But provided you do that basics it should be ok..........no promises though.
;-)
P.S. If they can survive an Australian Summer they can survive anywhere.........hot.
