Not. New to orchids and Orchid Board.

I'm not new to growing orchids. I've been growing for years mostly Phals, a few Maudiae's , And standard cattleya's.
This April 2021 my apt. building burned down, All my orchids and everything i owned lost.
So I'm starting all over again.
The only orchid i could save was I Can't Forget Big Red a Bulldog Paphiopedilum. its struggling still going to be a long time till he's back and blooming. the new plants are.

Really love the colors of Bob & Joyce.
Anyways 5 new, 1 saved , lost 200 .

At one time i worked at the Matthaei Botanical Garden. Propagating some of the collections.
What we had extras of we put out in the lobby for sale.
Now days they don't even do that .

Welcome back, James. I, too, am so very sorry to hear about the fire and the loss of all of your property, including your orchid collection. You mentioned having worked at Matthaei. You probably know this, but my orchid society, AAOS, used to meet there monthly, pre-Covid, plus we had our annual orchid festival there. I'm still hoping someday we'll be able to get back to doing those types of in-person events. In the meantime, I'm glad to know you're rebuilding your collection. I wish you the best of luck, and please keep us posted on how it's going.
