Hello

All the way from Savannah Ga. I hope to meet many new friends and lear more about orchids. I love anything exotic, specialy if derived from nature.

I bought my first cattleya yesterday and love it so much already. I will be moving the first of the month to my first apartment and since im giving up my organic vaggie garden for a while, until i get situated at least. I decided to kick off my future pad with a wonderful orchid & perhaps use it as a theme (tropical oasis) for later decorations. I hope to learn How to keep it going for as long as possible and perhaps become more knowlegable in giving it the best care. To this lil one and many more to come.

catts like lots of light; so a southfacing window would be ideal.
move it closer to the window over a period of time
what,s the next orchid you have in mind?
so many to choose from., and soo little money

Theres this phalaenopsis i love. It was the first orchid i handled.. unfortunately i bought it as a gift for someone else. I hope to get it back someday. Perhaps soon.
