Hello from New Hampshire!

Hello everyone!

I'm very new to orchid keeping, but so far this forum has proved incredibly helpful! I currently have three NoID Phalaenopisis (1 regular size and 2 minis) and a Paph. I've always loved orchid flowers, and we've always had good success with other houseplants in my home, so I'm hoping that these four do well so that I can add to my collection!

I've heard that Phals and Paphs are some of the easier types to grow under normal house conditions, so I'm hoping that it goes well. I have a tendency to dive in too quickly, so I'm trying to keep myself in check and make sure that I can get these ones thriving before getting more.

I look forward to learning a lot from all of the experience on this forum, I've seen some beautiful photos and lots of amazing orchids!

Welcome! I'm from somewhat nearby (Boston suburbs). Growing indoors here keeps me happy to have blooming orchids while snow is flying outside! Feel free to check out the Massachusetts Orchid Society - we're having meetings online currently because of the pandemic, so you could come learn a bit more without a commute! :-)

Welcome to the OB! You're wise to start out slow, with just a few plants of types that are known to be easy for beginners, and see how it goes. Of course, that can be difficult for many people. They have a way of multiplying when you're not looking.
