I found my way to this forum a few times through
very specific web searches and belatedly realized that it is still an active resource!
I found a grocery store phal abandoned in my building's trash room around this time last year and have been growing my collection steadily since.
I live in a small, north-facing apartment, so all my orchids live on a
wire shelving unit with artificial lighting (link to instagram post). I added a small terrarium this summer for mounted and miniature species and am now up to THIRTY orchids representing fifteen genera. (Being stuck at home all year really sent my obsession into overdrive!)
