Hello from a wildlife film-maker
Default Hello from a wildlife film-maker

Good morning all,

My name is Oscar and I work for a wildlife film company in Bristol, UK. For one of our upcoming documentary series we are making for National Geographic and Disney+, we are looking to film a few timelapses of Central American lowland tropical forest orchids as they grow and open. We're hoping to do this in Costa Rica (preferably near La Selva Research Research Station) or in Mexico (ideally either in Yucatan, or near Puerto Vallarta). It would be great to hear of any locations that anyone thinks might be suitable, or even anyone who lives in these regions and has orchids in their garden! Feel free to email me on oscar.dewhurst AT wildstar.tv

Many thanks in advance for any help!

Oscar Dewhurst

Oscar! That's my dad and my grandson's name, so you must be a fine and upstanding individual!

Good luck with your quest. Sounds like a fun occupation as well. Make sure ya let us know when it's time to tune in. Since I'm from Kansas, not much native orchid life to see here, so I'll live vicariously.

PS You might want to look at the board "Orchids in the Wild" here. Might give you some ideas depending on where you want to search/film.
