Introducing myself // I'm Kathleen
Default Introducing myself // I'm Kathleen

Hello ~

I am new to growing orchids. I received my first orchid as a gift 1 year ago. It is a Phalaenopsis, I believe. She bloomed 2 different times this year. She had blooms and comforted me all winter, while I mourned the loss of my precious dog. This orchid had about 11 blooms in it's second blooming. The last one just fell off last week. Each day I would come out and thank the plant, because it brought me such joy.

I brought two more orchids since then, and someone gifted me a miniature one. I am looking to be sure I give them the best home and the best care. This looked like a wonderful place to start.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and time with me.

Kathleen

Welcome to the Orchid Board, Kathleen! You've come to the right place. I'm so sorry about the loss of your dog. There are a lot of members here who own and love dogs and cats and can relate to your sorrow. I'm glad the orchids have been a comfort.

Heyfee --- welcome! Me too - deepest sympathies about your dog! Later, you may end up getting a catt, or some catts.

You can show us some nice phal flower photos in the future.
