Smile Hi from SW Florida

Hi. I've just joined the board, although I've often used it as a guest as reference when I've needed help.

My teenage son (14) suddenly got interested in orchids a year ago, so we've been learning about them together. We live in SW Florida, but I'm original from England. My grandfather was actually an avid orchid breeder in England (even has a memorial orchid named after him!). I just wish I had his skill!

My son and I have become quite addicted and over 20+ orchids now. All different types. Some are doing better than others

Looking forward to learning more about our orchids to help them thrive!

Welcome to the Orchid Board! How nice that this is a hobby you and your teenage son can share. Maybe he inherited an orchid gene from his great-grandfather.

Sasha! What a great story about your grandfather, and now his great grandson getting involved in orchids. And you live in a most wonderful climate to grow them! We look forward to hearing more.
