Hello and thanks for having me.

Been into plants my whole life and have always been fascinated by orchids. I found this site one day while looking something up and have been lurking around a bit.

I am partial to mounted orchids the most- i am a very eager waterer so it helps to counter act my enthusiasm

I have 60 or so orchids, a bunch of various NoID Phals, Dendros and Oncidiums. ( i love to rescue sick and dying orchids from dumpsters and estate sales...it leaves me with only guesses about Species)

a few of them that i know the name too

i have a coconut orchid (maxiflera(SP?))

a lot of schombugkia/myrmicrophylum Thompsonia and grandiflora

a few bulbophylum medusea

a couple brassavolas

a stanhopea

an encyclia alata

maybe a half dozen vandas

one Chiloschista usneoides

a couple cattleyas ( maybe 6)

some tolumnia ( i forget the species) i'll check when im home

a few others that i am forgetting

How do you all recommend hosting photos? direct link? upload them to the forum?
thanks!

dirtycoconuts, welcome to the board! you've got a cool collection going ! the coconut orchid you are talking about is probably Maxillaria tenuifolia. as for posting photos, i often upload them, but some people put links too... there's no right or wrong way and either way works fine. just keep in mind that you need a minimum of five posts in order to upload a photo!
