Hello from Port Huron Michigan - Orchid Board

Hi I'm Nancy. I am new to the Orchid Board. I love to garden and have numerous perennials. I have never had good luck with indoor plants. I received an orchid as a gift and I couldn't have been more pleased, It has done very well and now I want more. I'm looking forward to learning more about Orchids.

and welcome to the OB. You have found the place to learn so much about orchids. Just surf around from the home page and you'll find lots of information. If you have a particular question about a plant, just post it in the correct forum.

As for growing orchids, read, read, read. The web has tons of information and the folks here are always ready to help.

We need to know what kind of orchid you received as a gift before we can help. Can you post a picture?

I have a phal. demonte no flowers but ross told me the new growth was a keiki. So I removed it and planted in a pot with bark. So now I'm excited to see how it does.
