Hi! I was here quite a few years ago when I lived in Florida. I am back now and live in northern South Carolina. I brought some of my orchids with me (couldn't leave them all behind) and am learning how to adjust to caring for them in a different climate. I almost lost them by trying to grow them close to the way I did in Florida but I finally am getting the hang of it and they are finally doing better. I left some with my friend in Florida and those are doing amazing. I'm so jealous.
I went through a converse, though similar transition, going from 28 years in a Pennsylvania greenhouse to out on the deck in coastal, southeastern NC and winter windowsills.
I can't say welcome back, really, as I just joined today, LOL, but I have got to say, watching videos from growers in Florida and that they just hang them on trees outside, makes me SO jealous! It's far to hot and dry here where I live to grow anything but cymbidiums outside But it's nice to hear old timers still keeping their orchids even after a big move That's dedication
