I was given this NOID Dendrobium as a gift. It's about 10 inches tall and the blooms are mostly white with pink accents. The fragrance is something like baby powder. I believe it is a kingianum cross of some kind, I thought maybe delicatum but I am not sure. Any ideas?
Den. kingianum cross is very likely accurate. I think Den x delicatum (with Den. speciosum) would not have the spots so somebody else is in there too, I'd suspect. As with most hybrids in genera where has been a lot of activity, there are going to be several that look very similar. Care would be the same as the rest kingianum/speciosum group of Aussie Dendrobiums. But I think that it will stay a NOID. Enjoy, though, these durable orchids are very rewarding. Can spring be far away?
