Hello everyone! I am new to the forum. I recieved this orchid without a tag and I have forgot what it is. It has a fruity spicy fragrance during the day and I would like to carry it around all day!

To me violacea has a spicy smell and bellini has a citrus smell - so I'd be siding on violacea.

Hello and welcome to the OB, Griffon Girl! That is a lovely flower! I can't help with its exact identification, but just to clarify, your orchid is a Phalaenopsis (Phal.) and not a Paphiopedilum (Paph.).

And it's bellina, not bellini, which is a peach & prosecco cocktail.

Actually I knew that and I can't believe that mistake. When I worked in a greenhouse years ago I got into an argument with a customer regarding paph versus phal.

It looks like a P. bellina to me because it has more intense color on the 2 lower sepals compare to the sepal and petals above. It has sweet, mix fruity and citrusy fragrance.

My flower has a tendency to change during the day and disappear at night which I read is normal. At one point it reminded me of fruit loops! LOL

Ok don't ask if the flower disappears!
