I think that it's a Dendrobium
I bought this one cheap yesterday from a local supermarket because I fancied something different. It's just labelled a speciality orchid, I think that it may be a Dendrobium, can anyone please confirm this?

It’s a Phalaenopsis-type Dendrobium. They have nothing to do with the Phalaenopsis orchid but the flowers look rather similar and they grow on spikes from the end of the canes. The other commonly-seen type is the Dendrobium nobile, where the flowers emerge from the cane itself. The Den-Phal type require slightly different care from the nobile as they don’t have a dormant period.

You'll find plenty of info on the Web about caring for Den-Phals. As I wrote earlier, nobile types have to have a dormant period over the winter but this type doesn't and it likes to be a bit warmer, too, but normal room temperatures, with adequate light, should keep it happy.
