Stumped on this one... help

Hi all,
I got this fellow at Trader Joe's earlier this year. Unfortunately I don't have photos of it in bloom. The leaves remind me of my Lycaste, but the pseudobulbs aren't the telltale Lycaste shape. I should probably just go as the dudes at the orchid shop in town, but it's hard to get over there with my kids, lol.

Perhaps a Zygopetalum, Zygopetalum intergeneric hybrid, or close relative? Sans photos, a description of the flowers would at least give us something to go on and would certainly be better than nothing.

For the dangone life of me, I can't remember what color they were. If I get a spike I will definitely post a photo.

Edit: did a quick google search of zygopelatum and it totally jogged my memory! It had almost black-purple flowers on it, which was why I bought it in the first place. Thanks, I have a genus now!
