Please help ID

So, I bought some "supposed to be" phalaenopsis seeds, but I'm not so sure if that is the case (from Wish).
I potted it last summer, as the seeds arrived.

I tried to identify it by looking at hundreds of pics, but it is very hard. They kinda look like Vanda orchids to me, but not sure.

I hope it is an orchid, to be exact

They didn't bloom yet, but I was hoping if someone could ID them anyways so I would know how to treat them like....here are pics of three of them

Well, you're growing something, however, I'm fairly sure its not an orchid. This is a common problem. Ordering and growing orchids from seed isn't as easy as the seller would like you to believe. One of our experts will be along shortly to tell you what you have grown.

yes, that's my fear too, but it didn't cost practicaly nothing so I tried...but it would be rally nice to know what it is...thx for the quick reply

As Carol wrote, almost all the orchid seed sold through online auction sites is fake.

I don't know what that is. It looks a lot like a tumbleweed seedling.

It could be a Portulaca. I've never intentionally grown them from seed so I don't know what the wee ones look like.

There is an app that might help. It's called "Like that Garden." Download the free app, take a picture and it should match your plant to something...now I'm curious.

The leaves look kind of succulent-like. Something from the portulaca family? (wild guess)

Welcome to OB! Sorry that your first experience buying orchid seeds ended like this, fakes are too common. Even if they had been real seeds, you wouldn't have gotten plants simply by sowing in soil like that, they need to be sown in vitro in sterile conditions (with a few exceptions I believe).

We think the same way, because too me it looks like Portulaca grandiflora. I've grown some some seed in the past to put in my planters.

But still..I definitely have to find legitimate shop or buy orchids from local shops instead online..

I thought they look like our ice plants (I don't know if they are native or introduced, grown along some of our beaches and freeway on/off ramps). They are in the Aizoaceae family but that's a big diverse group.

Portulaca is the first thing I thought of when I saw the pictures. Won't know for sure until it gets bigger and blooms, but I think it's as good a guess as any.

Although ice plant is also a very good guess.
