Hello everyone! I'm in the process of trying to save this orchid. He was attacked by some sort of disease. When I got him I didn't know anything about him. I'm trying to ID him just in case things take a turn for the worse. He is very fragrant. I think the flowers smell like honeysuckle but it might be different for everyone. His pseudobulbs are a decent size, maybe the size of a golf ball or a little bigger. The leaves in the picture have been cut. I was trying to limit the spread of the disease but it didn't work too well. If you can please help I would greatly appreciate it. Ignore the aloe in the back
My thoughts are Wilsonara or a member of that vast Oncidium tribe. I would be curious to know what those leaves looked like? We're they Rusty and spotted? If so, that's not abnormal, rather a watering issue ( at least with mine).
If my assessment is correct, bright light but not Catt level and frquent watering as they don't like to be dry. Mine does best when I am mindful of the water.
They were black spots and it spread to another one of my orchids. I will try to find a better picture of the leaves. My guess is Oncidium too but I can't find the exact flower shape.
