A friend of a friend gave this to me. Originally I am told it was growing in the ground, under someones other orchids. When I rec'd it, the plant was in potting soil. I just recently moved it to the bark. Apparently it's one tough little plant and I"d like to give it a better life, but first I need to figure out what it might be. Thoughts?

Me too, I second OW. It'll grow in bark, or whatever. Lots of sun, lots of water and chow during the growing season. Then cut back on feeding for the winter. If it doesn't bloom, withhold water for a bit.

Thanks for helping to narrow down the possibilities everyone. I think part of the lure of orchids is the mystery of making it all work. I'll put on my best set of patience and see what develops!
