Hello, my friends

These are vulgar here for sale in big box stores and supermarkets.
Any idea about it?
It seems to have some insigne in its background.
The leaves are not mottled which indicates, probably, a cool growing plant.

Looks a lot like Paph Nitens (Paph insigne x villosum) ... definitely can grow cool (I grow it outside year around, somewhat brighter than most Paphs, and it grows very vigorously, putting out multiple blooming growths ) It may not be that exact hybrid but it strongly suspect it has this primary in its background if it isn't the original.

Paph Nitens looks a lot like P. insigne... the spots are in more even rows, no doubt due to the villosum influence. (One of our local judges pointed out the difference at a show a number of years ago when someone exhibited a monster specimen of it) Anyhow, insigne, villosum, and Nitens all grow easily under the same outdoor conditions.

Looking at the flower, there is definitely some Paph spicerianum in the mix (see heavy spots in the center of the dorsal), in addition to both insigne and villosum (see the petals).

Impossible to tell with any certainty, but I am guessing at either:
1. Leeanum x villosum
2. Nitens x spicerianum.

All of these grow under the same, very forgiving, conditions.
