It's a reason to do a little dance. You've got a flower spike!

Was hoping but it was so low. got to be careful with the little guy. he has new shoots and roots popping up. got him really cheap because he was slug bitten.

Gongora flower spikes tend to shoot out to the side or downward. This plant looks like it is mounted, so the spikes can go anywhere they want. Definitely time for a happy dance!

will do I don't even know what they will look like. I bought a slug eaten plant off eBay that was cheap because of that. I am surprised it is growing more roots and shoots at the same time.

This kind of plant is in constant growth all summer when it's happy.

well that spike died as the guy was not getting enough light. they like vanda level lighting and gets watered every couple days. now he is growing like a weed and no longer loosing leaves. two spokes too with a little fragrance. since they just opened today they may smell more hopefully.

worked out what this guy liked got a good spike. but he started going downhill a bit wrinkled leaves. but he got water every day or every other day. so I figured it was too much moss on his roots. I had a big ball of it on the roots. so I took off all I could and after a couple months 5 spikes

Sounds like a lot of light for a Gongora.
