It is a hybrid of D. aphrodite x capillipes. Other relatives are D. aggregatum, D. harveyi and D. jenkinsii. This kind of Dendrobium is accustomed to being very wet during warm weather. It is easy to let them dry out too much and kill the new growth.
This is especially true for a very small plant. If you've mounted this tiny plant, don't let it dry out during the growing season.
It may still be too small to bloom next winter, so don't keep it too dry, and harm it. It is better to water it once a week through the winter, and keep it alive, until it's big enough to flower.
