I've seen that kind of leaves in orchids and non-orchids.

Looks like some Spathoglottis to me.

Yes, an orchid. And yes, it is Spathoglottis. And yes, that's in the realm of Phaius and Calanthe as well.

Native to Asia but found in tropics and subtropics world-side as ornamental but also an escaped invasive weed some places. Many species and hybrids look similar.

Hi guys, ill post a picture mine shortly. but the main different i guess with normal orchid and this is that this one grow in soil. am i correct?
coz i took the plant from an elder who actually had planted it in his garden in the soil. The folower was so atractive. so thats y i brought it from him. never though it would be an orchid.

There are a lot of different kinds of orchids. Some grow in the soil rather than in trees. The kind you show is common across Asia. All the orchids in cold-winter climates grow in the ground and not on trees.

Spathoglottis are sometimes called "ground orchids" as a common name. They will grow in almost any well drained soil, but soil high in organic matter is best.
