Default ID For this orchid?

I got this as my first orchid. Someone on another forum told me it was oncidium x odontoglossum. Now I'm not sure again. It has never bloomed since I bought it (help?). It's growing a new shoot. I almost killed it with sun.

Yes, some kind of oncidium x odontoglossum. Nice to see. Sun can fry Most orchids. There are some that can live in full sun, but not many. They would be better off if placed under trees or a shade cloth if they are out side.

It's something in the Oncidium alliance. If you burned it down to a small plant it might have to get bigger to bloom. When they're happy they often flower when they have 3 or more mature-sized pseudobulbs.

Thanks for the IDs guys! It's growing a new bulb now since I moved it to a shadier spot.
