Picked these up yesterday... the first one (with the white tip on the labellum) smells kind of lemony; the other one's scent kind of reminds me of freesias.

Any ideas, folks?

Last 3 are lycaste. Second could be maxillaria. I like!

I think the white-lined is Euchile citrina (or another Euchile very similar to E. citrina, but you can cjeck better than us, having the plant there with you). The pure yellow should be Lycaste, maybe L. aromatica

Basic agreement. Euchile/Prosthechea citrina since it has the white edge on the lip. The otherwise quite similar Euchile/Prosthechea karwinskii does not, as I understand it. Both have citrus/lemon fragrance. Knowing where it came from in Mexico might help confirm. These usually grow more gracefully hanging downward from a mount as they often do in nature.

And Lycaste, possibly Lyc. aromatica, but there are several other yellow species in Mexico. Again, knowing where it was collected might help confirm or suggest another species.

Have to hold up my hands and say that was how I bought it, but that's what had me sold, too!

Thanks to the rest of you for the input, too ...

PaphMadMan, I'm pretty certain these plants come from a greenhouse environment, and are not collected in nature, so I'm unable to narrow down the region any more (Euchile Citrina, for example, has special protections here in Mexico, and anywhere selling it needs to be able to provide proof of where/what grower it came from, and as I bought it from a pretty established nursery, I think it's safe to assume it's cultivated, not collected).
However, a quick google search would seem to agree with you guys... And looking at the pics of mounted/hanging Euchiles, I reckon that's the next step with these beauties. Probably hanging pots, as past experience has shown me that I really don't have the time nor the memory for keeping mounted plants alive!

Look like taken from the tree right away, by someone who recognized them because they were flowering but didn't know that the citrina is pendulous.

A shame.
