It could be Zygopetalum crinitum. Or maybe not. If it's a species then it's possible that a botanist could study the flower and determine so but if it's a hybrid it's essentially impossible. Enjoy it for the beautiful flower, and really, does the name even matter?
I am going to say no it is not a Zygopetalum crinitum. It very well could be a Zygopetalum crinitum Hybrid. I think it might be safe to say it is. What it is mixed with not sure.
Does it smell?
I have a no ID Zygopetalum it does not smell much. You really have to stick your nose in the flower to get any scent.
