It looks just like the young plant of Phaius tankervilleae that I got two days ago. I was told dappled/diffused light - quite bright. Warm summer days and relatively cool nights - a large differential between day/night temps. Lots of water while its growing. And high humidity (not below 70%).
Thanks everyone! I'm thinking Phaius based on the pictures I've seen. I've got some Bletilla and I've had Spathoglottis so I'm pretty sure it's not either of those. You all got me pointed in the right direction. Thanks again.
The stuff about cold water spotting new growth is very true - found that out the hard way! Your phaius will get BIG. Mine is about 3x3 foot. Have fun, it's a great plant!
