Default Is this Phal equestris?

I wonder if this is Phal equestris or its hybrid? Is it possible to ID it?

It's a hybrid with equestris in it. Quite a lovely bloom!

Thank you. I'm curious if it's equestris x doritis perhaps since its leaves are smaller than phal?

These mini Phal hybrids have become very common. Most have both Phal equestris (as this clearly does) and Phal (Doritis) pulcherrima somewhere in their ancestry. Both of those species have smaller leaves than standard Phals, but the small plant size is also due to generations of selective breeding. It is easy to see why they are popular.

Yes they're cutely lovely. Small leaves with lots of flowers and bloom often.

Doritaenopsis perhaps is a better ID?

Doritis is usually considered a synonym for Phalaenopsis now. There's no problem if you prefer to use Doritis and Doritaenopsis names, in which case this is probably Doritaenopsis, but in terms of official hybrid registration it would just be called Phalaenopsis. Recent hybrids would not ever officially have had the Doritaenopsis name.
