Nowhere does it seem that anyone has challenged what you've said, PaphMad. It just seems like he's hoping someone will be able to guess the species now that we have a guess at the genus.

I thought this was a good suggestion and I'm sorry for not having replied to it sooner, I've been working non-stop for the past few weeks and honestly forgot to write a reply for your suggestion in the middle of everything. The bump was more for if anyone knew anything more specific (although I know that's much harder than finding the genus) along with getting anyone who might believe it is another genera and to foster more conversation on the plant.
I do want to thank you for the suggestion and again I apologize for not having replied sooner
I haven't had the chance to look up Dimeranda but I will do so on my way to one of my meetings today

I really have no doubt on this genus. Determining a species will not be possible from this picture. There are several species accepted, but it really seems most likely that it is one variable species over a large area. There isn't even much variation. OrchidWiz uses the same picture for several species. For what it is worth, if it boils down to one species that would be Dimerandra stenopetala, and that appears to be the only one where an alba form has been formally described. |

No worries at all and again, I'm sorry I hadn't replied sooner. Everyone has their days, and I'm still swamped with work and will be until Friday haha
I do honestly think it's Dimerandra too
The first picture I saw of stenopetala made me doubtful but seeing more and more pictures, it does indeed seem to be a variable species, thanks for the help! I'll try and do more research into this genera so I can get a better idea of how to properly care for it!

Currently the orchid sits on an old branch that we tied into a citrus tree and it is starting to fall apart so I'll have to put another branch there for this and the other little orchids on the same branch to grow onto
