More Mexican species...
Here we go with another couple... I think the first is a Rhynchostele rossii, but the second I have no idea -- maybe some kind of Encyclia? Anyway, here are the photos -- sorry about the quality of the latter photos, my phone with teh good-quality camera got stolen a few weeks ago...

For the second species, given the fact that it has more of a reed-like stem rather than pseudobulbs, and a lip that is fused to form a tunnel with the column, I think it's a true Epidendrum. Anything more than that would be hard to guess because there is over 900 soecies in the genus.

Not Encyclia, probably Epidendrum - yes. Something about the plant form is echoing in my brain. I'll do some looking.

It does have pseudobulbs -- they're just a bit buried, it's been badly potted. Rectifying that today. |
