Got this cute little yellow Orchid from a friend. I was wondering what family it belongs to?

Beautiful! I have a Dendrobium jenkinsii that looks very much like this. Do a google search and see if your plant looks the same.

Maybe a Dendrobium aggregatum, a bigger plant. Both have these gorgeous blooms.

Thanks Patty. Mine is only a baby size one. I did a search for the one you said and another came up that looks even more like it. Could it be a Dendrobium lindleyi?

From what I've read the lindleyi and the aggregatum are the same plant. I could be wrong, I think the jenkinsii is the smaller one.

I've only had mine for a few weeks and it is a good size plant though not tall, the bulbs range from pea size to peanut size, the leaves are under an inch. It has not flowered for me yet.

Monika, I assume you identify this plant by the flower? Is it correct that the jenkinsii has a single flower while the lindleyi has several per inflorescence?
