Pls help me ID this orchid...

I "inherited" this orchid several years ago. It seems fairly healthy but has never bloomed. The larger leaves are approximaly 18" x 6" are not particularly thick or waxy and have a pleated look to them though not truly pleated.

It appears to be Catasetum or a related genus in that subtribe - the Catasetinae - like Cycnoches or Clowesia. Many of these have specific dormancy requirements, and that may account for lack of blooming for an apparently healthy mature plant. I don't have experience with this group, so hopefully a Catasetinae specialist will see this, or perhaps you could repost in the Catasetum alliance part of forum. Good luck.

I'm not so sure that is a Catasetum. They have many more leaves than that and if you didn't follow dormancy requirements it would have definitely rotted and died. Also Catasetum leaves are much less glossy and more veiny. I could be wrong though. Has this orchid ever lost its leaves?

Looks to me like a Grammatophyllum. If pressed I might guess G. elegans or G. scriptum.

I concede this is apparently Grammatophyllum, not Catasetum alliance as I suggested. I took a wrong turn at the Cymbidieae intersection and ended up in the Catasetinae neighborhood instead of Cymbiinae, adjacent subtribes. There are a few hybrids between them, so in a very broad sense I was still in the right alliance, sort of. I think I'm too inclined to look for the beard of roots around the base of the plant before I think Grammatopyllum.
