If you were a plant tag...
where would you be?
Where's the strangest place you've found a lost plant tag?

In the refrigerator. I found my phone there once, too.

Yes, I've found one in the trash can before. Well, the compost bin after I removed the old media.
Thanks for the hints.

Since I'm really new at keeping these beauties that keep us happily doting on them, I don't have any awesomely strange places I've found tags~~yet.
Mine are usually, ~OK truth time~ nearly always still laying on the table I just potted my plants on & I am frantically scurrying around each repot to try & match them up.
With my newest (til my shipment comes in next Wed.) kids it is not too hard to get the right tag into the proper pot, my Dendrobiums & Intergenerics. A Google search of the name for a photo ID has been sufficient. But~~those darn Phalaenopsis that manage to come with a tag are not so ready to give up the game of~~'Guess Who'!
Oh yeah, and under the shelf area where I'm not paying attention to knocking them out of the pots as I'm piddling about with them. Quite a common spot I'm sure for ya'll pros.

Yes, that's the only good thing about this tag loss; I know what the plant name is, so worst case scenario--I write a new tag. Still, losing the tag makes me feel a little brain-scrambled. Like when you're looking for your sunglasses that are perched on your head.

Back when I had cats, the missing tags could be found wherever the orange tabby took them, usually one of his favorite sleeping places, and usually chewed up, so pieces could also be found in the cat box.
Do I win?

I picked up one in the back yard the other day. No idea how it got there. No orchids outside this time of year.
