Laelia anceps hybrid?
Default Laelia anceps hybrid?

Hi,

Got this at a San Francisco Orchid Society plant swap over the holidays. Tag says "Dialc. Crimson Flare" which isn't registered anywhere. No nursery name on tag. Not sure who entered the plant in the swap so can't ask them.

Lovely flower - and fragrant!

Help!!!

Dialc seems to stand for dialaeliocattleya. As per my search, it is a cross of 3 genera: laelia, cattleya and diacrium. I have no idea how to care for a diacrium. First time I heard from it. But, laelia and cattleya require same care, so, you have a good chance of growing well using cattleya care. Good luck!

I have several Dialc. Catts and they seem to take the same care as any other Catts. Very nice blooms by the way.
